Sales Development Representative

Position details

  • Job role: Lead Generation / outbound sales

  • Type: Permanent after a successful 3 month probation period

  • Location: Kelham Island, Sheffield

  • Hours: Office hours, some flexibility a possibility especially working around US time zones (many of our customers are located in the USA)

  • Salary: Competitive salary plus commission

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting tech startup selling our software product to B2B SaaS companies across the globe.

It’s a great opportunity to grow and progress into senior sales roles and develop into enterprise sales with high value accounts.

About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director, the role is about:

  • Qualifying inbound leads with discovery phone calls, email and research

  • Running smart and highly targeted, content-led outbound campaigns to generate leads

  • Managing our CRM

  • Reporting to the business on your own activities

  • Working with marketing to produce sales collateral

  • Feedback to the Receptive team on what is working and what is not

About you

Experience in the areas listed would be great but we’re super keen to work with someone who wants to learn and is excited by what we are doing. Attitude and graft are more important than experience.

  • Comfortable using the phone to make considerate connections with new people

  • Web-based research

  • Using LinkedIn Pro or Sales Navigator

  • Using a CRM

  • Working closely with the team

  • Good communication skills - especially important to be good at listening to potential customers and assessing if we can help them

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be highly beneficial

  • Experience selling to businesses is desirable

Client Services Manager / Customer Success Manager

Position details

  • Job role: Customer Success Manager

  • Type: Permanent after a successful 3 month probation period

  • Location: Kelham Island, Sheffield

  • Salary & hours: Competitive salary. Full time preferred, some flexible working a possibility to help with timezone differences with our global customer base.

About the Role

Reporting to our Customer Success Director, our Customer Success Manager is responsible for making our customers successful from pre-sales, through onboarding of new users, and ongoing assistance with training and best practices so they get the best possible return-on-investment from their Receptive account.

Our customers are teams of product managers, customer success, customer support and leadership at world-leading software companies across the globe.

Customer success is a vital role at Receptive - we have enviable customer retention rates and this is the number that you’ll be responsible for.

You will be:

  • Getting on phone calls with busy SaaS professionals to help understand their problems and how we solve them

  • Being an advocate for the customer in a customer-focussed tech startup

  • Performing screenshare demos

  • Asking tough questions and helping customers solve technical and organisational problems with their teams.

  • Creating & using written and video resources for customers and the wider SaaS community

  • You’ll be working closely with the Customer Success Director, CEO and Product Teams

About Us

Our product and team help B2B SaaS companies to better manage product feedback.

GIFRO (get it rolled out) is our mantra. We don’t waste endless hours in meetings, you’ll be busy helping customers and scaling our customer success operation.

About You

  • Attitude is more important than experience

  • Great communication skills, verbal and written

  • Knowledge of the SaaS industry or the desire to learn and grow quickly

  • Self-starter - you’ll need to proactively identify problems and deal with them, sometimes before the customer knows they have an issue

  • This role may be a good fit for someone looking to move from a customer support role with a technical base into something more business-facing

  • This role may be a good fit for someone with account management experience who is looking to specialise in the area of software
